What is a contract/framework agreement?

A contract or framework agreement is a legally compliant route to the market, offering you access to approved suppliers who have undergone a rigorous screening process to ensure they deliver products or services at the best possible value.
How are YPO contracts/framework agreements set up?

We engage with the market to ensure we understand customer needs. A contract specification is then established for which suppliers can tender. All suppliers undergo a rigorous evaluation based on key criteria such as quality and price, and the successful suppliers are awarded contracts. This process is fully OJEU compliant.
What is a direct award?

When a direct award option is available, you can select the most suitable supplier on the framework according to your needs and directly award the contract to them.
What is a mini/further competition?

In a further competition, often called a ‘mini competition’, you must obtain quotes from all suppliers on the framework agreement and assess which one provides the best value. This process also enables you to refine your requirements if necessary, while maintaining the terms and conditions of the agreement.
