How do I get a quote from you?

How do I get a quote from you?

Step 1: First, you’ll need to complete a Letter of Authority (LoA) and email it to [email protected]. A member of our team will later be in touch.
You can find our letter template here on page 4 - YPO - CFS FAQs Booklet.
Signing a LoA lets us carry out a detailed price comparison for you and helps us to determine whether our contract can save you money. If it doesn’t, we will not encourage you to sign with us. YPO will also never sign a contract without your consent.
Step 2: Dig out a recent gas and electricity bill from you existing energy supplier or local authority. The energy suppliers on our frameworks require all potential customers to fill out a new business form, and so we will extract information from your bill to fill the form out on your behalf and prepare your quote.
If you have half-hourly meters, you will need to request information directly from your provider, including your 12-month, half-hourly data.
Step 3: When the new business form is completed, we’ll send your request to our relevant supplier. We will include the following information in the request:
- New business form
- LoA
- Your contract requirements
- Preferred contract start date
Quotes are usually returned to us within 3-5 working days after all information has been sent to the supplier.

Where can I find my meter point number?

Where can I find my meter point number?

Your electricity meter number is the 21-digit number on your electricity bill that typically starts with an ‘S’, also known as a Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN).
Your gas meter number is the number on your bill that consists of 6-10 numerical digits and is also known as a Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN). Alternatively, you can request this information from your current supplier or send us a copy of your recent bill, and we’ll obtain it for you.

An energy tariff is how energy providers charge customers for their gas and electricity, consisting of two costs that make up your bill:
Unit rate – this is the price you pay for your electricity and gas usage which is charged at pence per kilowatt hour (p/kWh).
Standing charge – this is a fixed daily cost for energy supply to your premise regardless of how much energy you use. This covers distribution, metering services and greener energy commitments.

If you’re already supplied under the YPO framework with your gas and electricity supplies, please get in touch with us using your MPRN or MPAN, and we’ll contact the supplier on your behalf. Email us at [email protected].
If you’re not under one of our frameworks, please contact your current energy provider regarding this. After receiving some information, we can guide you through any renewal requests you might have.

VAT is usually charged at 20% on business energy. However, in certain circumstances, a business energy customer can qualify for a reduced VAT rating and only needs to pay the domestic rate of 5%.

These rates apply when your current contract expires or is terminated, and you still need to switch to a new supplier.
Please note that these rates can often be double the usual amount.

Yes, you do. Unlike regular energy brokers who provide you with a call centre number for support, we have dedicated support staff in our supplier’s organisations. This means that you will receive a dedicated account manager and credit controller who you can contact directly to discuss your contract.
