Mother’s Love Heart Card
Decorate this simple Mother’s Day card with a variety of craft materials, from sequins to tissue paper, shapes cut outs and gemstones. Children will love getting creative and choosing their favourite materials to create their own unique design.
What you need:

- Fold the card in half to create a card template
- Draw and cut out a large heart shape from the front of the card.
- Cut out a rectangle sheet from the recycled packaging, making sure it is slightly larger than the heart shaped gap.
- Decorate the plastic sheet with gemstones, shape cut outs, and any other materials, making sure to leave a small gap at the edges. Secure in place.
- Stick the decorated sheet to the inside of the card, over the heart shaped cut-out.
- Write a greeting in your Mother’s Day card before hand-delivering!
“Toad-ally the best” Mother’s Day card
Bring some silliness to Mother’s Day with this ‘punny’ card idea. It is sure to make your class giggle! The easy-to-make card design is perfect for practicing fine motor skills.
What you need:

Paint the top half of the paper plate red, to make the top of your toadstool.
- Add some PVA glue to the pom poms and stick in place.
- Use a green pen to create grass around the outer edge of the bottom half of the paper plate.
- Along the red paint line, cut towards the centre of the paper plate from each outer edge, leaving the middle of the paper plate attached.
- Write your ‘punny’ message in the empty space. We went with “You’re toad-ally the best mum!”
- Fold each side of the bottom half of the paper plate back and staple.
Mother’s Day Window Stickers
Create beautiful and glittery window stickers from different shapes, such as hearts, and diamonds. This quick and easy craft makes for a wonderful Mother’s Day gift that can be displayed all year round.
What you need:

Lay out your chosen shape into a bowl.
- Fill the shape with a thin layer of PVA glue.
- Add in sequins, glitter, and any other decorations.
- Once dry, carefully remove the shape cutter from the decoration.
- Gift your glittery decoration
- Optional: Stick the decoration to a window to display
