As an organisation, we purely exist to serve the community. Over our 50-year heritage, we have embedded ourselves in the community supporting several local and national charities and liaising with local educational establishments to support students into employment by providing career mentoring including mock interviews, CV advice, work experience etc. In 2022 we established a strategic partnership with NSPCC and in 2024 a total of £100,000 had been donated to the charity through charitable activities and a proportion of funds from sales of our YPO branded products being donated.

Increase engagement and support of VCSE's through staff volunteering and donation of stock.

We will aim to –
• Organise two corporate volunteering days per year
• Ensure staff have access to a variety of volunteering opportunities
• Proactively look for events held by VCSEs YPO can donate to
• Update our reporting process to ensure we are capturing all donations
• Work with our IT department to increase technology donations

Achieved so far –
• Staff volunteering policy launched January 2024
• In 2024 over £19k worth of stock donated to VCSEs and educational settings

Increase engagement with local schools and community groups to develop skills for future success in work.

We will aim to -
• Have a steady flow of opportunities for employees to attend schools and help with various career activities
• Social Value team to attend more events to engage with schools
• Build relationship with community groups who support individuals seeking employment to provided support with skills, development and training opportunities

• A structured work experience programme has been developed

YPO raises over £56,000 for NSPCC

In 2025, YPO raised over £56,000 for the NSPCC by donating a proportion of funds from sales of YPO-branded products, alongside several staff fundraising events and initiatives.

YPO Sponsors Wakefield Light Up

YPO are thrilled to be partnering with Wakefield Council to be the main sponsor of this year’s Light Up Wakefield.

YPO donates to flood-damaged primary school

YPO has donated more than £20,000 worth of products to St Bridget's CE Primary School after devastating floods destroyed classrooms.
