Leeds Church Institute
The brief
Leeds Church Institute contacted YPO's furniture and design team after deciding they needed to upgrade their furnishings.
The challenge
The pieces of furniture that the organisation was using had been donated and the majority of the furnishings were unfit for purpose. For example, the main office area desks were flip-top tables, so they were unsteady to work at.
As the team had grown, the organisation was also looking to implement new working areas, including quiet and accessible locations with height-adjustable desks.
The process
YPO's design team met with the team members from Leeds Church Institute on-site. The dedicated YPO project manager discussed the furniture requirements room by room and conducted a survey of the building.
Following this, the team devised a floor plan design for approval. At this stage, team members were able to play around with the building layout and request changes to the initial plans. This benefited the organisation by allowing them to customise the plan exactly how they wanted it and make the most out of the different working areas/storage spaces.

The solution
YPO provided Leeds Church Institute with sturdy, solid desks, cable management systems, additional storage cupboards in previously discounted areas, easy-to-manoeuvre meeting room tables, quiet working areas and an accessible working area.
Along with installing new furniture, YPO also dealt with the removal & recycling of old furniture.
There is now ample space for storage and comfortable, sturdy working spaces for all staff. All furniture now matches and has lifted the beautiful surrounding building - such a significant improvement!
