The brief
The Roman Baths in Bath decided they wanted to expand their site and create an educational area that schools and community groups could use to help them learn more about the history when visiting.
The challenge
The team at The Roman Baths needed help finding a compliant route to market to help them build the new educational area. After hearing positive feedback about YPO from local schools, they contacted our furniture and design team to discuss their specific requirements. The team required three learning rooms and a hands-on investigation room.

The process
Following the initial consultation, it was then over to the team at YPO to provide quotations, floor plans and 3D drawings to assist with the space planning of each room whilst adhering to a given budget. Through regular virtual meetings and site visits, YPO worked closely with the team at The Roman Baths to perfect the furniture schedule and layout. Samples of furniture items were provided to physically review on-site before raising orders to ensure the plans were exceeding expectations.

The solution
After all the work was done, the Roman Baths now had a brand new state of the art facility to offer to schools and groups on visits to enhance and improve their learning experience. The new facility was named The Clore Learning Centre and has been widely enjoyed by it's visitors.
Lindsey Braidley, Learning and Participation Manager at The Roman Baths said: 'Working with YPO has been smooth and satisfying – just like a good coffee! Patience, care, creativity and economy are four things that helped us with the fit out for our learning centre at the Roman Baths. We are at the end of a funded project to create new spaces for outstanding learning opportunities for children and adults. YPO has helped us get through the hurdles that a project turns up in a calm and thoughtful way'.
