We’re looking forward to attending the Local Government Procurement Expo (LGPE) next week, where we’re headline sponsor. The LGPE is an annual procurement focused event that invites local government representatives and industry suppliers to connect, network and share knowledge.
The Expo is being held on 19 November 2024 and will be hosted at Novotel London West, Hammersmith, in the Chablis Suite, running from 9:00 – 16:00.
It will feature procurement professionals and suppliers from business and organisations delivering procurement focused talks, including government representatives from the Cabinet Office and industry leaders from Amazon Business.
Our very own head of procurement services, Michelle Walker, will be delivering a talk on “how framework agreements support value in the public sector.” There will be stalls located throughout the venue from different organisations, featuring a dedicated YPO stall, manned by members of our procurement services team who will be there to talk through all our available frameworks and how they operate.
Particular frameworks of interest are Winter Maintenance Product and Services, Emergency Response and Rescue Equipment and Cloud Services, Date Centre Management and Transformation Solutions. However, if there is another framework you wish to discuss, please ask our staff who will be happy to help.
The expo will feature three dedicated ‘zones,’ each focusing on a specific area of procurement, the Regeneration Zone, will host speakers discussing major projects in the local government pipeline across housing schemes and urban regeneration projects.
The Driving Efficiency Zone will be advising suppliers on how they can help local authorities and buyers address their financial challenges, driving greater efficiency and value for money.
And the transformation in Procurement Zone will focus on how buyers and suppliers can support local authority digital transformation projects, discussing how digital solutions and technologies can be used to support wider programmes and improve services.
There will also be a ‘Local Government Procurement Pavilion’ which will see ‘leading local government procurement organisations will come together in a dedicated area’ and is a fantastic opportunity for buyers and suppliers to understand what frameworks are available to join and buy from.
The expo offers a lot of opportunities to share, learn and develop knowledge around all levels of procurement and the supply chain.
