We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for two awards at the 2020 UK National Go Awards!
The Go Awards recognise and celebrate expertise in public procurement and every year they’re held to give organisations across the UK the chance to showcase their achievements within the marketplace.
The two categories we’ve been shortlisted in are Market Development and Team of the Year. Both nominations are based on our Apprenticeship and Associated Training framework, the first of its kind across the UK.
The framework was created after the new Apprenticeship Levy was introduced in April 2017, to help businesses invest in apprenticeship programmes. These changes meant that public sector organisations would have an increase in the spend for apprenticeship training and they would need to procure training via a compliant route to market.
The introduction of the framework meant that public sector organisations were now able to cope with the changes whist receiving support from our procurement experts.
The shortlist for the Market Development award was credited due to the procurement that took place within the continuously evolving apprenticeship marketplace. The new market meant we were faced with an array of challenges such as new standards constantly emerging. The procurement team were able to effectively overcome the challenges, allowing both the sector and the framework to grow and develop.
For the Team of the Year shortlist, we have been acknowledged for working in partnership with Thames Valley Police, and Norfolk and Suffolk Constabulary to support the next generation of police constables and wider roles, by procuring police specific apprenticeships.
It’s an outstanding achievement just to be considered for this award, and we’ll be announcing results after the awards ceremony has taken place in September.
