YPO has put this national framework in place for the provision of statutory engineering inspection services. This Open Framework, the first to be procured by YPO under the Procurement Act 2023, is designed to serve the entire public sector. Engineering inspections are typically procured as part of a contracting authority’s insurance portfolio, but this framework will give authorities the opportunity to procure inspections as a standalone service, either directly or via their insurance broker. And because it is a framework, an objective mechanism for Award Without Competition is built in: a key benefit for suppliers and customers alike!
