Details

This dynamic purchasing system (DPS) is here to support the Emergency Services, Blue Light and other public sector bodies in the purchase of drones (UAVs) and associated products and drone services.

The drone market is expanding rapidly with suppliers bringing innovation and capabilities. YPO has worked with ARPAS (The UK Drone Association) to develop this solution that gives customers access to drones and drone services.

The DPS offers a compliant route to market for the purchase of drones and their accessories, along with repairs and maintenance. The DPS also offers training services and licensing so you can ensure you and your pilots are fully compliant. It offers service areas such as surveillance, surveying, inspection and data collection, spraying, firefighting, mapping and data analysis as well as many more.

This DPS is a UK wide framework agreement that is available to any eligible UK public sector organisation, and can be used to procure garments and services both above and below the threshold.

Reduced timescales – Customers don’t need to run a full procurement through this framework as it has already been done by YPO. All you need to do is identify your requirements, present them to the market and award a contract.

Pre-defined terms and conditions – terms and conditions of the contract have already been established, and signed and accepted by suppliers.

Lot 1 - Supply of Drones, Maintenance and Accessories

This category is for the provision of supply, maintenance, accessories and managed services. Examples of these (but not limited to) are shown below:

- Any aircraft operating or designed to operate autonomously or to be piloted remotely without a pilot on board
- Maintenance and servicing of drones
- Design and building of drones
- Technical training on specific drones
- Relevant software solutions, such as ground control stations and data management
- Associated hardware such as docking stations, charging solutions and other safety related solutions – including signage such as ‘Dones in operation'
- Drones with a managed service
- Remotely operated vehicles (ground or submersible)

Lot 2 - Drone Services

This category is for the provision of drone services. Examples of these (but not limited to) are shown below:

- Surveillance
- Surveying
- Inspection and data collection
- Spraying
- Firefighting
- Mapping and data analysis
- Transportation /delivery of goods or persons
- Operator training
- Managed services
- Droneport infrastructure design / operations
- Advice and support services related to drone operations
