What is causing the supply chain issues?
There’s no one reason why we are experiencing supply chain issues, instead, several factors are contributing and causing knock-on effects, which can impact costs and delivery times.
These issues include a shortage of Heavy Good Vehicle (HGV) drivers (particularly in the UK and Europe), the cost and supply of shipping containers, energy costs and supply, and the supply of raw materials e.g., aluminium and copper.
Should I be worried about supply chain issues?
We don’t want customers to worry as we are working closely with our suppliers to do everything we can to identify and resolve supply chain problems before they impact you.
With that said, there are some sectors, and in turn, some YPO Frameworks, that are adversely affected by the supply chain problems, and this may impact costs, supply, and delivery times. We advise that customers are mindful of this when planning budgets etc.
We have put together a supply chain news page to make it easy for our customer to find the information they need to make informed decisions about product orders, retenders, and agreeing new contracts. Keep checking the supply chain news page to stay up to date with supply chain information.
How can I seek reassurance that I’ll get the service/product I desire?
We are doing everything we can to identify issues for customers and are suggesting alternative solutions where we can. We are in close contact with our suppliers and are proactively passing on information to customers.
If you have questions about a specific service or product, please contact us at [email protected]
How is YPO supporting customers during this period?
At YPO, we care about our customers and their needs. Currently our frameworks are more affected by the supply chain issues than the products we sell directly. We’re communicating regularly with our framework suppliers to get the information you need to make informed procurement decisions.
On the product side, we have procured enough stock to ensure that customers can order in their usual purchasing patterns and as such, none of our products are currently out of stock.
We will continue to update this webpage and our supply chain news page with new information and, as always, our framework and product teams are here to guide you through the process, answer questions, and find the best possible solution for your needs.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact [email protected] and we will help.
