The Artgecko Classy range has a classic quality with a quirky twist. This hardback A3 book is perfect for presenting your work and final versions of earlier sketches. The matt finish of its black cover adds a contemporary elegance. Its tactical, soft-touch coating is robust and wipe clean, which is good news for outdoor sketchers. It can be securely carried alongside other sketchbooks inside a portfolio case.

Strong, twin bound wires are positioned for snag-free page turning and for the book to open a full 180 degrees. This allows it to be opened flat on tables, making it easier to judge proportions and perspective whilst drawing.

Inside the front cover is a vivid green protective sheet that has a its own distinctive reptilian texture. It can be removed to us as a page marker, or to separate pages and protect work from smudging.

The sketchbook holds 50 sheets of thick 150 gsm cartridge paper, making it suitable for all types of media. Graphite pencils, conté pencils, oil pastels and charcoals will find a responsive canvas that will not stay blank for long. The medium weight paper is also suitable for ink and light washes with watercolours. All of the paper used is acid free, which gives it a longevity against yellowing and turning sepia. Whatever you create, it stays the way it’s meant to be.

The paper is FSC®-certified - so you can rely on it being responsibly sourced. Artgecko sketchbooks are proudly made in Britain. For that personal touch, each book is hand finished with care - even down to the embossed gecko footprint on the back cover.

Artgecko Classy sketchbooks are suitable for all stages of the artistic journey, from beginner sketchers to professional artists. Not just for drawing, they make excellent portfolios, photo albums and sketchbooks for art and design students’ course work.
