First produced over 80 years ago by industry-leading brand Derwent, Lakeland Colouring Pencils are as good now as they always have been. With an easy-grip chunky hexagonal barrel, easy colour laydown, and soft, break-resistant leads, these colouring pencils combine quality, performance and variety that is ideal for the classroom. Designed specifically for children aged 3 plus, it is no surprise that Lakeland pencils are a school staple.

Quality Performance
Manufactured by leading pencil brand Derwent, you can rest assured Lakeland Colouring Pencils are of the highest quality – both in lifespan and functionality. The soft, thick 5.4mm diameter colour strip sweeps smoothly across the paper for a fast, even lay down of colour, with no nasty surprises that come with poor quality pencils. This size helps cover large areas quickly for more general or casual colouring, as does the easy movement, control, and smooth performance of the 10mm hexagonal barrel.

Made For Children
Aside from quality results, the pencils have also been designed to help children colour in more effectively. At a super thick 5.4mm diameter, the colour lead strip increases durability to make the pencils break resistant and longer lasting – particularly handy where children are concerned!

The jumbo 10mm diameter barrel is another child-friendly feature, with its size being much easier for children to hold than smaller pencils where fine motor skills and pencil grip may not yet be refined. Children as young as 3 can grip and control jumbo pencils much easier for block colouring where precision is not important, whilst the hexagonal barrel helps children practise an easier version of the standard pencil grip that they will use for life.

Bright Colours
As the soft lead makes blending particularly easy with Lakeland Jumbo Colouring Pencils, you can create a wide range of additional shades beyond the 12 pencil colours to create whatever you can imagine. The bright, eye-catching colours have been chosen with Primary School children in mind, reflecting the full spectrum that they will encounter in their everyday life, and transferring to paper with strong, impactful effects.

Bulk Savings
As a huge classpack of 144, there are more than enough pencils to last the whole school year or longer, and enough of each colour to share pencils equally to every child in the average sized class. With 12 pencils of each of the 12 colours, no child will have to wait their turn to use the colour they want.

The handy cardboard box in which the pencils are supplied also contains a storage compartment for each colour, saving you money on alternative storage solutions.
