20 FREE workshops suitable for year 5 and year 6 students up for grabs.

Students will learn about the basic principles of electricity and energy, looking at how it’s generated and used. They’ll then build miniature electric cars to demonstrate the principles of gears, and explore the relationship between voltage, input and distance travelled by competing in teams to see how far the cars they’ve built can travel.

To be in with a chance of winning the chance to host one of these courses, simply read the information below and answer the simple question to enter our competition.

YPO is proud to offer these courses in partnership with nPower. Our partner now for over 20 years, nPower provides these sessions to our education customers as well as being one of our providers for the 3,500 education contracts we already provide energy frameworks for.

Our fully compliant contracts are supported by a team of energy experts on hand to offer advice and support from start to finish. We’ll check your latest invoice against your existing contract to ensure that your next agreement is the most cost effective. A number of our frameworks are DfE approved, and include green energy and carbon offsetting products to help you meet your Net Zero targets.

PLEASE NOTE, THESE SESSIONS ARE ONLY SUITABLE FOR YEARS 5 AND 6.

By entering this competition, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
The closing date/time for entries is Monday 23rd February 2026 (GMT) at 23:59. Entries received after this time will not be valid.
The competition is only open to: employees, governors and parent teacher associations, representatives of schools, Multi-Academy Trusts and early years settings in Mainland UK (excluding the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland) claiming the prize on behalf of the school that the entrant represents. All entrants must be aged 18 years or over. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. There is a limit of one entry per person.

YPO accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
It will be at YPO’s sole discretion as to whether any requirements for eligibility have been met, and YPO reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.

Entries will not be accepted from:
• any employees, agents or suppliers of YPO (including any holding or subsidiary undertaking of these companies);
• or any members of the immediate families of the employees, agents or suppliers of the company listed above (including any holding or subsidiary undertaking of these companies).

To enter, entrants must complete the entry form in full, providing full data and answering the question correctly.
20 eligible winners will be selected at random within 14 working days of the closing date and notified of their win by YPO.
The prizes are x20 Power to Drive sessions delivered Elevation X and are delivered on behalf of nPower Business Solutions. Each session is suitable for a maximum of 30 learners, and will last between 40 and 120 minutes. These will be delivered at your learning venue and you will need to be able to provide a large, clear space such as a larger classroom or hall other clear space with a few tables. No venue provision can be made.
No purchase is necessary.
No cash or alternative prize is available. The prize is non-transferable.
The winner’s details will be made available after the draw date by writing to the Marketing Department at YPO. If you are the winning entrant and object to any or all of your details being published or made available, please contact YPO. In such circumstances, YPO must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
YPO shall notify the entrant that they are the winner via the email address on your submission. If the winner doesn’t accept their prize after three (3) attempts of being contacted and/or within one (1) week of being contacted, the prize will be allocated to another entrant.
All prizes must be delivered by 30 June 2026. Prizes not delivered by this date will be forfeited and no further draws will take place for this prize.
Any decisions relating to the competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the competition.
Any Personal Data shared will be used solely for the purposes of the competition and the promotion of the Power to Drive sessions by YPO and/or any appointed third party. By entering this competition, you consent to the use of your Personal Data for the purposes of running this competition, and any other purposes consented to by you. Except as detailed within these Terms and Conditions, and as permitted by law, YPO, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
YPO may, at its sole discretion, terminate the competition at any time where there are reasonable grounds to do so without liability to you.
YPO may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice to you.
YPO reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
