YPO is thrilled to announce its partnership with the soon to re-opened The Piece Hall in Halifax.
The Piece Hall is a monumental Grade 1 listed building and the only surviving cloth hall in the UK. It's an iconic symbol of the important role played by Georgian Halifax at the booming centre of the world’s woollen trade and is set to re-open on 1 August 2017. The Piece Hall will once again draw people from far and wide to experience the creative bustle of modern life in one of the most striking piazzas in Europe where paths cross for work, pleasure, business, leisure, arts and entertainment.
As well as the various retail, hospitality and cultural components making up the hall, the venue will also be home to a range of learning and educational features which include a Learning Studio. The flexible space for classroom-based learning has been sponsored by YPO where local school children will attend workshops and guided tours to learn about the hall's fascinating heritage and history.
YPO's head of marketing, Rachel Stothard, commented: “We’re delighted to provide support to The Piece Hall and its Learning Studio. The space is a fantastic facility for teachers and school children to take part in learning-based workshops and activities, all while soaking up the atmosphere and history of the iconic surroundings.”
