YPO, the UK’s largest publicly owned buying organisation, has bolstered its governance structure with the appointment of Rob McWilliam as Independent Director.
Rob McWilliam brings over 25 years management experience, working with leading global businesses including Amazon and ASDA/Wal-Mart. Most recently, he was Vice President at Amazon UK, where he was responsible for the consumer goods businesses, including grocery and healthcare. Rob studied Mathematics at Durham University and is a qualified accountant.
In his role as Independent Director, Rob will support the leadership team to implement the organisation’s growth plans, ensuring the organisation remains well-placed to continue delivering cost savings and best value to the public sector.
Rob said: “YPO is renowned for its exceptional customer service, which puts the company in the same league as brands such as Amazon and John Lewis. I am very much looking forward to working with such an incredibly talented and experienced team who know their market inside out.”
