It gives us great pleasure to announce that we’re working alongside The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom to help more teachers turn their teaching inside out.
The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (CLOtC) is dedicated to supporting schools and teachers to extend learning beyond the classroom walls, across all curriculum subjects and age ranges.
Research has shown that pupils feel a sense of freedom and are much more engaged when the curriculum is taken outdoors. It enables children to express themselves more freely and results in higher job satisfaction levels being reported by teachers.
CLOtC can help you achieve these goals by developing your confidence to teach outdoors with their resources and training, encouraging you to use different places and spaces to help your pupils flourish and reach their full potential.
Currently, we’re supporting hundreds of teachers and thousands of children by funding free school memberships to the CLOtC scheme. We want teachers to get the best value from their lessons and believe that helping you develop your skills in teaching outdoors will help everyone get the most from their outdoor learning experience.
If you’d like to find out more about CLOtC, they have a wealth of FREE resources and activity ideas to help you plan, deliver and evaluate your learning outside the classroom. Visit: www.lotc.org.uk
