The plan is comprehensive, so here’s a roundup of the three core training offerings, so you know what’s coming and when.
1. Knowledge Drops
We’ll firstly see the launch of Knowledge Drops, which are on-demand videos (45 minutes in total), available for all levels and are expected to be available in November/December 2023.
Although the government suggest these are relevant to all audiences, I understand these videos to be high level so would recommend they’re viewed by directors, senior leaders, finance, and communications teams – plus all others that might not necessarily work knee-deep in procurement but would benefit from a general understanding of what’s changing.
The Knowledge Drops are also suitable for suppliers so I would recommend YPO suppliers to complete this part of the training.
2. E-learning
Recommended to skilled procurement, operational and commercial practitioners, the e-learning sessions are made up of 10 x one-hour modules to provide staff with more detail than the Knowledge Drops, such as exploring how the new changes will impact at different stages of commercial activity.
The e-learning modules form part one of a learning package, so those who complete this will be awarded a certificate of achievement and e-badge.
This is likely to become available from March/April 2024.
3. Deep Dives
Following on from the e-learning modules, will be Deep Dive webinars, taking the skilled practitioner to an expert level in what’s required to deliver and unlock the potential of the new regime.
Aimed at procurement practitioners, attendees must have completed the e-learning first and will again receive certificate of achievement and e-badge on completion.
This comes in the form of a three-day course, led by an instructor and aims to create ‘super users’ across the public sector. This is also likely to be available in March/April 2024.
Accessing the training
All of the training will be made available through the Government Commercial College, with some the Knowledge Drops hosted on YouTube, so I would highly recommend you sign up to the website to receive alerts and updates on when the training goes live.
Visit the government website for more information or if you would like to speak to someone at YPO to find out how we can support you further, please email Agnieszka Gajli or Sarah Sesum.
