This framework agreement is designed to support authorities and other contracting bodies (OCBs) in procuring a comprehensive range of tyre-related services and products for their fleet. The scope includes but is not limited to the supply of tyres, tubes, casings, and refurbishment services for a variety of vehicle types, including cars, refuse collection vehicles, and commercial or agricultural vehicles.
Key components of the framework include:
1. Tyre Supply & Services: Procurement of tyres suitable for heavy and light-duty vehicles, including all related products like tubes and casings.
2. Maintenance & Refurbishment: Services such as tyre refurbishment, fitting, balancing, and puncture repairs.
3. Fleet Support: Provision of roadside and depot services, including emergency call-out for Blue Light, inspections, and the management of tyre-related operations.
4. Fully Managed Services: A comprehensive package that allows authorities to outsource tyre and fleet-related services, covering everything from regular maintenance to time-critical repairs.
This agreement provides a flexible and efficient solution for authorities to manage their fleet tyre needs while ensuring the safety, performance, and operational efficiency of their vehicles.
Where more specific or complex requirements arise, detailed specifications are required, and a further competition will be carried out. This allows suppliers to tailor their offerings and pricing to meet the precise needs of the contracting authority.
All tyres supplied under this agreement must be road legal and comply with Regulation (EC) No 1222/2009 on the labelling of tyres with respect to fuel efficiency and other essential parameters, or any successor regulation issued by the UK government.
