Bamford Bus Company Ltd (BBCL) began trading in October 2019 after acquiring the business from Wrightbus Ltd. The Headquarters site is over 37Ha and employs over 650 people. At present we have a build capacity of 1500-3000 vehicles annually (depending on shift patterns), which can facilitate any type of vehicle or propulsion method. Annual Development and Innovation budget spend is over 5 million. Wrightbus operate, in partnership with Queens University Belfast, the research and advanced engineering centre “Bamford Technology Centre”. The Centre is a showpiece centre of excellence with world-leading research, promoting research and advanced engineering for new technologies.
