COSHH substance cabinets are an essential in every school and workplace where substances such as cleaning products need to be securely stored and specifically labelled. Designed with many user-protective features including a leak-proof sump and 3-point locking, these robust and structurally secure metal chemical storage cabinets offer maximum safety for your peace of mind.

Construction
These COSHH cabinets are constructed from robust, high-quality steel at a thickness of 0.7-1.5mm, bestowing extra rigidity and an ability to maintain structural integrity under extreme conditions.

Inside the cabinet are 2 adjustable shelves to accommodate varying storage needs and containers of different sizes, complemented underneath by an integral leak-proof sump that is welded onto the base.

This 36L capacity sump ensures any spillages are safely contained and will not leak out underneath, and should be emptied using a suitable absorbent material or siphon pump. Compared to removeable sumps that can be heavy and difficult to lift, an integral sump eliminates the risk of dangerous spillages or contamination from the sump contents onto operatives.

Design
Grey cabinets are colour coded to signal the presence of substances hazardous to health – including those that are corrosive, toxic, or irritant - and ensure compliance with COSHH regulations.

The grey cabinet comes decorated with a harmful/irritant warning sticker to alert people to danger. GHS labelling and a chemical information segregation chart are also included, with additional stickers including ‘Health Hazard’, ‘Acute Toxicity’, ‘Corrosive’ and ‘Aquatic Toxicity’ signs. These can be easily peeled to allow switching of the primary label when required.

The cabinet is powder-coated with Germ Guard Active Technology anti-bacterial paint. This reduces the risk of cross contamination, and is proven to reduce the spread of E. coli and MRSA. The chrome door handle is easy to clean, and durable to withstand extreme conditions and prevent corrosion. This ensures it will last longer than alternative materials that may come into contact with chemicals.

Vital Safety Features
Each door is reinforced with steel door stiffeners, ensuring they are difficult to break in to, and do not break or become misshapen with impact. This means the doors will always stay tightly closed so that no substances leak or become exposed to outside materials.

Each double door cabinet also incorporates 3-point locking for maximum security, so no contents can be accessed without one of the two master keys provided. Because of this, the cabinets are safe in the presence of school aged children as well as workplaces and laboratories, and contents cannot be taken, misplaced or switched without your knowledge.

Due to the features of construction, design and safety, these cabinets will safely and securely store any hazardous substances as classified by COSHH regulations, including bleaches, caustic cleaning fluids, ammonia, and other chemicals that can cause skin damage or poisoning, or combine to make something more dangerous.
