In classrooms where damage to resources is a risk or access needs to be restricted, a cupboard unit is an invaluable piece of furniture. Use a narrow cupboard unit in environments struggling for space, or where standard units are poor value for more modest storage needs.

Design
This cupboard unit has been manufactured to a height that is suitable for nursery and primary school aged children to reach, empowering them with the responsibility of finding what they need and tidying up when they are done. The internal design consists of 3 shelf tiers, including 2 adjustable shelves to help accommodate larger items.

The narrow design allows you to fit the unit into smaller spaces, especially those that are already populated with lots of other furniture. Despite this, the quantity of shelves ensures there is enough storage space for the needs of a small to average sized class. As the digital world expands and physical learning resources become less popular, a narrow unit is a sensible, long-term solution to save money whilst fulfilling modern storage needs.

The lockable doors incorporated into the design make it possible to store books, files and other resources in a way that is accessible only to those with a key, keeping the contents protected from unauthorised use. Unsafe substances and specialist equipment such as those used in science labs can be kept safe for greater peace of mind, as well as answer sheets or stationery that is at risk of being used without permission. The doors also hide the contents to limit distractions, and provide a protective barrier against spillages in art and science classrooms.

The unit itself is mobile, and supplied with castors to allow movement between classrooms or for easily storing out of the way when not in use.

Construction
The unit is constructed using 18mm thick melamine faced chipboard (MFC), a common material in classrooms due to its strength and durability under frequent handling. This durability allows us to proudly offer a 25 year guarantee, so your school can use its tight budget wisely. The MFC used in this product is FSC certified.
