Staedtler Noris HB Pencils have for over 40 years remained undoubtedly the most iconic classroom pencil in the UK. As a HB pencil, they fall in the middle of the lead hardness grading scale, making them a great all-rounder for general use. The Triplus however takes all the benefits of the regular Noris pencil, and encases them within a triangular body, designed for children to correctly hold and easily write with. Whether sketching, drawing or writing for a project that is casual or important, Staedtler Noris Slim Triplus are the premium choice for quality triangular pencils.

Iconic Design
With an unmistakable yellow and black striped design, Staedtler Noris pencils can easily be identified in a hurry. From recognition alone, students can confidently expect a high-quality HB lead to get the job done.

Similarly, the polished finish is not only aesthetically pleasing, but a practical feature too, maintaining the quality of the wood and protecting it from moisture for a longer lifespan. For art classes, home schooling and learning on the go, your Staedtler Noris pencils are sure to remain in top condition.

Slim, Triangular Body
Another practical feature is the triangular shape, which is easy to grip and control for all ages, but in particular younger children who do not have the fine motor skills required for a hexagonal pencil. The triangular shape guides finger placement to prevent bad habits, and forces children to hold the pencil in a way that best supports control and letter formation, leading to more legible writing.

Unlike most triangular pencils however, the barrel of the Noris Triplus remains slim for those already comfortable with jumbo pencils. Overall, the slim design proves a great intermediary product between jumbo triangular and regular hexagonal pencils in the classroom.

WOPEX Barrel
These pencils are made using the innovative WOPEX material that improves the pencil’s quality as well as its environmental impact. WOPEX is manufactured from by-products of the timber industry generated during sawing and planing that would normally be discarded, alongside wood from German PEFC certified forests. These forests are located just a short journey away from the production facility for a minimal carbon footprint.

With the use of WOPEX, the pencil barrel has a greater density than alternatives, making it more robust and resistant to breakage for a longer lifespan. If the pencil does break however, it will not splinter and cause harm to the user. A denser pencil is also heavier for more comfortable use and greater accuracy when writing or drawing – a feature particularly helpful for children just getting started with slim pencils. WOPEX-based pencil tips will also sharpen evenly for further accuracy, proving exceptional in quality for maximum satisfaction.

Quality Lead
Cheap, economy alternatives often use low quality leads that result in inaccuracies and frustration. These pencils on the other hand use a special super-bonded lead formulation that is break resistant, meaning no more repetitive sharpening or breakages mid-way through a project to ruin your concentration. This is yet another feature that expands the lifespan of the pencil and saves your school money over time.

The velvety soft HB lead will also transfer onto paper in a way that is smooth, even and predictable, for a unique and satisfying experience every time. HB is in the middle of the lead hardness scale to provide maximum versatility to both writing and drawing – perfect for the demands of classroom use.
