As subjects such as arts, crafts, design and technology can invite hours of seated work, a stool and accompanying high table will help students focus on their work rather than discomfort, and find it easier to get up and down or change seating position without causing disruption. These 610 mm high stools and 850 mm high worktop desks will provide optimal comfort and posture when working, protecting students from straining their back and neck or getting tight hips trying to reach a table that is too low.

WSM Skid Base Stools
All aspects of this stool’s design are centred around maximising comfort and posture to enable longer periods of productivity. One of these aspects is the curved waterfall front, which positions the legs to improve circulation when working for a long time. Another is the foot rest, which again supports circulation, puts less pressure on the spine and reduces fatigue of the hip flexors by allowing the legs to stay extended. There is also the addition of a minimal lumbar support at the rear of the chair, where full back support is not required due to the nature of the work.

A skid base is incorporated into the stool’s design for a unique and attractive look that protects both the user and the floor. By incorporating a skid base, the stool will not tilt or tip, making the stool much safer to use.

Each WSM stool is constructed from polypropylene - an easy-cleaning, hard-wearing material that can withstand frequent use and heavy weight. In practical environments where damage is likely, polypropylene provides unmatched protection and retains its look for longer where spillages, scratches and graffiti are higher risk.

H Frame Tables
Each of the tables is constructed using 18 mm thick MDF with a high-pressure laminate finish for a durable and smooth, easy-to-clean surface which makes the table both stylish and functional in a learning environment. This is accompanied by charcoal coloured high impact Duraform PU edges, which add to the aesthetic whilst simultaneously providing protection. Duraform will resist scratching and chipping without needing to be re-treated over time, and is applied as a spray so it cannot be picked off by bored pupils!

The 25mm steel square tube frame has been fully welded to keep the table intact throughout frequent use or re-arrangement, and incorporates a strong steel underframe for strength and stability far greater than a standard table can offer. This underframe also makes a good footrest for students, and assists in neatly keeping stools safe and out of the way underneath the desk. Just like the edges, the desk frame is also finished with Duraform paint – famous for its resistance to chips and scratches – which will help keep your table looking good as new!
