RT45 is a premium range of desks made to introduce contemporary style into any space. The thick round tube frame effortlessly supports the generous workspace and integrated drawer storage for safer and more comfortable use, and is available with a choice of characterful colour options to suit your aesthetic preferences. Value, practicality and class; RT45 is the undeniable modern classic in classroom furniture.

Design
This desk has been designed to match Metalliform’s Round Tube classroom table range (RT45 and RT32), for a consistent look in a classroom. Consistent design is important to help a space look more professional and thought-out, and will command respect from anybody who steps in the room as a result. With the mature design of a chunky round tube frame finished with a smooth, glossy epoxy powder coating, it has never been easier to achieve contemporary style that is guaranteed to persist in even the most demanding environments.

With generous space on the top of the desk, it is possible to keep multiple projects separate and visible with no overlapping, so you can mark work, multi-task or plan with ease – and still have space leftover for ornaments! The desk also contains an integrated pedestal with 3 drawers to keep personal possessions, confiscated items or test answers for example that cannot be stored in the open. As the drawers are lockable, the contents are kept protected and private, giving teachers and students alike peace of mind.
Another key feature of the desk is the modesty panel, which allows teachers to dress as they feel without feeling uncomfortable, exposed, or distracted from their teaching. The privacy of the panel also creates an air of authority by creating a barrier between student and teacher, equally encouraging children to pay attention and teachers to confidently communicate.

Choose from soft, comforting and relaxing tones or a more mature, natural wood finish to best suit the environment around you.

Construction
Each teacher’s desk is constructed using 18mm thick MDF with a high-pressure laminate finish. This provides an inexpensive yet durable and smooth surface which makes the table both stylish and functional for teaching. This is accompanied by charcoal Duraform PU edges, famous for their ability to resist chipping and scratching without needing to be re-treated over time. Duraform is also applied as a spray that cannot peel off, helping to keep your tables looking good as new even with everyday use.

Also durable is the fully welded round steel tube frame, which is chunky 45mm in diameter to keep the desk satisfyingly steady when in use, without compromising on looks. Compared to alternatives, this frame style eliminates protruding corners and gaps between the frame and tabletop that can injure or irritate the user.

The thick steel construction of the frame also provides greater resilience when supporting heavy weight, and is longer lasting than any other frame material on the market. Its light speckled grey epoxy powder coating finish is resistant to abrasions, impact, temperature and chemicals, helping protect the look of the frame throughout its lifespan. With this combination of materials, we can proudly offer a 5 year guarantee to help you shop with confidence.
