A tilt top table is the ideal solution for dining rooms, multi-use classrooms and temporary events. With a smooth, no-slam sliding mechanism and sturdy construction, there has never been a safer way to quickly transform a room. This premium table is extra durable thanks to its fully attached, tamperproof mechanism and robust round tube steel frame, and with sophisticated style to match, there is no higher quality option on the market.

Design
Each table is 710mm in height, making them ideal for children aged 11-14. For optimal comfort, posture, and lumbar support however, it is important to select chairs that suit this height; in this case, chairs with a seat height of 430mm. In doing so, not only will children avoid pain and poor posture during long periods of sitting, but your furniture will also comply with BS EN 1729:2016.

Tilt top tables are designed for small or multi-use spaces that would benefit from the convenient mobility and space-saving design. Due to their dimensions and extra-strong construction, these premium tables are best suited to multi-use classrooms, although they can be used as a more compact yet hard-wearing option in dining rooms, social areas and elsewhere.

When in use, the frame locks in place with a sturdy, non-removeable steel mechanism. This design is comfortable to children as it does not encroach into their leg room, and is much harder to tamper with compared to T-bar alternatives. The table will not accidentally tilt due to its firm locking design, although it is simple to tilt the table when required with no slamming to cause disruption, damage or injury. With 4 castors, 2 of which are lockable, there is minimal effort and maximum safety from start to finish when using a premium tilt top table.

These tables are designed with a classic rectangle shape to accommodate partnered activities or small work groups, and optimise space through a coherent, easy to navigate layout. The familiar design of rectangular tables also makes them quick and easy to set up when time is of the essence. Compared to alternatives, rectangular tables can successfully be adjoined with others for groupwork, socialising, conferences or meetings, proving to be the most adaptable shape in a wider variety of scenarios.

Construction
Each of these tables is constructed using 18mm thick MDF with a high-pressure laminate finish. This provides an inexpensive yet durable and smooth surface which makes the table both stylish and functional in a learning environment. This is accompanied by high impact Duraform PU edges, which add to the aesthetic whilst simultaneously providing protection without needing to be re-treated over time. Duraform is famous for its ability to resist scratching and chipping, coming in handy when tables are frequently handled, pushed together or knocked into things when re-arrangement is taking place. Duraform is also applied as a spray that pupils will not be able to peel off.

Also durable is the round tube steel frame that adds style and durability in equal measure. The frame has been fully welded to keep the table intact when frequently used or tilted, and incorporates a robust steel underframe for strength and stability far greater than other tilt tables can offer.

The tables tilt using a no-slam, smooth sliding mechanism that will lock in position to keep the table satisfyingly steady when in use. The mechanism is fully embedded to ensure a sturdy construction and although easy for children to use, they will be unable to unlock it accidentally. The frame has been strategically positioned underneath the tabletop to support all sides, and alongside the lockable castors, you can rest assured this tilt table provides complete student safety like no other - whether in use or in storage.
