Reach new heights with the NP high chair! With the same intelligent design and economical construction of its standard counterpart, you can rest assured each NP high chair will fashion a functional, safe, and vibrant learning environment without costing the earth. Like stools, the tall design of the high chair is perfect for music rooms, science labs, or art classrooms - yet the shell of a high chair offers a familiar comfort, lumbar support and style that stools cannot.

Design
Each chair has a 685mm seat height, making them ideal for Key Stage 4 and above, and are specifically designed for music, IT science, arts, crafts and design and technology classrooms where high seating is the norm. As such subjects can invite hours of seated work, high chairs help offer a flexible seating position and leg extension that helps students focus on their work rather than discomfort, and makes it easier to get up and down without causing disruption. When using a table with a height of 900mm, these chairs will provide optimal comfort and posture to prevent students from straining or hunching over whilst they work, and ensure compliance with BS EN 1729:2016.

NP chairs are a particularly comfortable option for long periods of sitting due to the well-defined lumbar support back. This design encourages children to sit with a healthy posture by closing the gap between the spine and seat, preventing back problems in both the present and future. There is also a foot rest incorporated into the frame to reduce pressure on the spine and reduce fatigue of the hip flexors.

There are 10 different shell colours available to choose the look that best suits your space, matches your school colours, or creates a colour code for each table.

Construction
Each NP chair is constructed from polypropylene - an easy-cleaning, hard-wearing material that can withstand frequent use and heavy weight. Considering the environments high chairs are typically used, polypropylene is the perfect choice for resisting damage from spillages or impact.

The anti-tilt leg style has been chosen to reduce the risk of accidents and prevent students from purposefully rocking. At a height where feet don’t always touch the floor, falling is much higher risk and much more damaging when it does occur, so safety is paramount - especially for the NP high chair. Its shell is not backed by the frame, which although more comfortable, means the chair has enough ‘give’ to slightly recline with the user when they lean back. With anti-tilt legs however, students can confidently lean back without the risk of falling, allowing them to benefit from the same comfort and posture of the standard NP chair without compromise. In comparison to stools, the flexible shell of this high chair promotes muscle movement and blood flow, in turn preventing fatigue and increasing focus over long periods of time.

The frame is constructed from metal for a longer lasting base that will support heavy weight without breaking – so long lasting in fact, that each NP high chair comes with a 5 year guarantee for peace of mind!
