The Chair 2000 is an extremely strong and durable 2-piece chair that provides unbeatable posture support in a classroom. With a classic look and feel to accompany its many functional benefits – including an all-encompassing frame design – it is no surprise this chair has proven a bestseller in schools up and down the country.

Design
Each chair has a 350mm seat height, making them ideal for children aged 6-8. For optimal comfort, posture and support when working however, it is important to select tables that suit this height; in this case, tables with a height of 590mm. Indoing so, not only will children avoid pain and poor posture, but your classroom furniture will also comply with BS EN 1729:2016.

The Chair 2000 is designed with unrivalled posture support. The frame supports both the shell and back to limit its movement, meaning it won’t recline when students lean back, or become misshapen after years of daily use. Because of this, the well-defined lumbar support is enforced at all times, creating a healthy posture that prevents both present and future back problems. With a classic look suited to any classroom, the Chair 2000 is suitable for all spaces. Stackable to 7 chairs high for efficient storage in multi-use spaces.

There are 10 different shell colours and 2 frame colours available to choose the look that best suits your space, matches your school colours, or creates a colour code for each table.

Construction
Each chair is constructed from polypropylene - an easy-cleaning, hard-wearing material that can withstand frequent use and heavy weight. These benefits are unmatched by other materials, and have led to polypropylene becoming the most common material for classroom chairs – there’s no need to break the bank on pricey alternatives offering the same quality!

The 4-legged frame style is not only classic in appearance, but supportive of the entire undercarriage of the chair. Many alternatives attach only at the midsection, which is not as secure or supportive of the shell. Just as the frame provides support below without encroaching on comfort, the rear frame keeps the shell in place to ensure the supportive shape serves its purpose. The frame does not extend to the very top of the chair however, so there is no compromise on comfort at the upper back. As many ergonomic office chairs are designed with the same principles, you can rest assured the chair has been constructed with your pupils’ best interests in mind.
