This unit combines the functions of a kinderbox with those of shelf storage to create the ultimate book storage solution. To save money on a tight budget or save space in a small classroom, this economical 2-in-1 book browser is an absolute essential.

Design
This 4-sided book browser is designed with 9 bays on top, with underneath storage on all sides of the unit. This underneath storage offers 4 shelves in total – one on each side – and whilst the front and back of the unit use longer shelves, the remaining two sides use short ones. With this generous number of bays and shelves, it is possible to separate books into subject, genre, age range or size for example, for quick and easy navigation. Similarly, the range of shelf widths helps accommodate both small and large book collections, or instead utilise the space for toys, games and ornaments that would be a better fit.

The open design of the kinderbox is perfect for showcasing storybooks, educational books with attractive covers, or toys and games that are visually attractive to children. This encourages them to pick up something to read or play with, in turn developing their imagination and creativity. The bottom shelves on the other hand are better suited to encyclopaedias or curriculum books for example, where the visual element is less important. By storing books in this way, multiple storage needs can be fulfilled with a single piece of furniture, saving both space in your classroom and money for your school.

With 4 sides and plenty of compartments, it is possible for multiple children to use the unit at the same time without having to wait their turn. This speeds things up in a classroom, and encourages children to be social by discussing what they have found. Larger books, toys and games are also difficult to store elsewhere, particularly at a height that is suited to young children, making this box extremely useful in environments where play is encouraged.

The unit itself is static for permanent status and safe usage in any environment. This, in combination with its 4-sided design, makes it ideal for spaces where it can be permanently placed in the open, rather than against a wall.

Construction
The book browser is constructed using 18mm thick melamine faced chipboard (MFC), a common material in classrooms due to its strength and durability under frequent handling. This durability allows us to proudly offer a 25 year guarantee, so your school can use its tight budget wisely. The MFC used in this product is FSC certified.
