Endless Creativity
Although there are activity cards included for inspiration, a mud kitchen provides many varied opportunities for children to play and learn in their own way, in turn developing their creativity and imagination. Children can place activity cards in the stand-it-stones to easily follow along recipes as they wish.

A Learning Opportunity
Included in the kit are a variety of realistic looking fruit and vegetable play stones to help children become more familiar with healthy foods. The sensory play stones are also textured to add to the realism, and even make children more open to eating healthy foods in the real world.

The process stones included will allow children to logically follow instructions, and gain a better understanding of basic cooking concepts through kinaesthetic play. Ideal for the outdoors, children can even add their own ingredients from around the garden such as flowers or mud, and figure out how best to cook them using what they have learnt with their mud kitchen.

Other skills include identifying and counting ingredients, measuring quantities and managing resources, all of which will prove valuable skills used by children for life.
