We’re delighted to be partnering with the British Education Suppliers Association (BESA) and the Department for Education on a series of edtech training events across the UK.
The one-day roadshows ‘LearnEd’ will explore how schools can best incorporate technology into the classroom to help improve learning and save valuable time. Announced by Education Secretary Damien Hinds, the roadshows will help school leaders and ICT leads access edtech that has been tried and tested by other teachers, with proven results.
With a focus on best practice, the day will include peer-to-peer panel discussions on curriculum, assessment, teacher time and leadership. The panels will showcase teachers who have successfully used technology to support their teachers’ work-life balance and to introduce back-end efficiencies into the running of their schools or multi-academy trusts.
The first event was in Rotherham on Thursday 29 November included two keynote speakers from the Department for Education – Carol Gray, Deputy Director, East Midlands and Humber and Keira Newmark, Deputy Director of the STEM and Digital Skills Unit. There was also three panel sessions on "Using technology to better support teaching & learning in the classroom", "Exploring ways technology can help teachers have more time to teach" and "How two school leaders have successfully transformed their respective schools".
Alongside the conference sessions and at the heart of the exhibition, teachers can visit the ‘21st Century Classroom’ showcasing innovative digital resources and technologies, with furniture and classroom products provided by YPO!
There will also be chance to browse the supplier exhibition featuring 30 trusted cutting-edge edtech companies.
