Corona Energy will be added to YPO’s portfolio of legally compliant energy contracts, with YPO customers, including local authorities, schools and multi-academy trusts, gaining access to Corona’s services through YPO’s flexible Gas Framework.
This new supplier partnership supersedes YPO’s partnership with British Gas. Corona Energy is a leading independent energy supplier to UK businesses, catering to 11% of the industrial and commercial gas market and around 11,000 customers. Corona supplies gas and electricity to commercial, industrial and public sector clients across the country.
Purchasing gas on a large consortium basis provides public sector organisations access to wholesale prices and the ability to optimise trading. This partnership supports YPO’s pledge to deliver cost effective, reliable and high quality procurement services to its public sector customers.
YPO’s head of procurement Gillian Askew said, “We’re delighted to be working with Corona to deliver gas procurement services to our customers. Corona strives to deliver the highest standards of operational excellence, combined with a fresh approach to saving customers’ time, energy and money – something YPO has supported the public sector with for over 40 years. YPO and Corona will engage customers to ensure that they’re fully informed throughout the transition process and the procurement strategy is aligned to their needs.”
Corona Energy’s managing director Matt Gray said, “We supply natural gas and power to organisations of all kinds and sizes, from cafes to the largest multi-site organisations. No matter how complex or challenging the requirements, we’ll deliver simple products, pricing and innovative tools to help organisations achieve their energy efficiency goals. We’re delighted to be the supplier on YPO’s reputable gas framework, and to continue to provide excellent service to public sector customers as a result of the partnership.”
