Improving efficiencies for public sector water supply

Improving efficiencies for public sector water

By Fiona Wilkins, Corporate Communications Manager

YPO is delighted to be partnering with the London Energy Project (LEP) to deliver efficiency savings on the water supply for its 36 member authorities. Currently, the LEP’s members are served by a number of different water companies, but have identified that a single water and wastewater provider would better meet the needs and requirements of its members.

YPO, in partnership with the CCS, ESPO, NEPO, TEC, and West Mercia Energy, launched a framework for water services in March 2017, ahead of the water market deregulation in April. This opened up the water market to allow business customers in England to select who provides their retail water and wastewater services. The framework offers a fully compliant route to sourcing water suppliers, access to quality products and services as well as competitive pricing.

The LEP is a group of 36 authorities (primarily in London and also includes Transport for London and the Metropolitan Police) and its purpose is to combine the spending power of its members to achieve better energy efficiencies around savings, innovation and collaboration.

YPO’s collaborative approach to procurement leads to strong and successful partnerships, and we look forward to delivering a successful procurement with LEP.
