With stress and anxiety in schools becoming a huge problem for both staff and children,
Twinkl are keen to do something about it. Studies have shown that simple acts of kindness can have a profound effect on the well-being of everyone, which leads to healthier, happier lives for all, and where better to practice acts of kindness than in a school community?
With this in mind, Twinkl are encouraging everyone to take part in The Great Twinkl Kindness Week between the 6th and 10th February 2017, with
lots of ideas available for free on their website for how both adults and children can take part in acts of kindness to really make their schools happier, healthier place for everyone. Twinkl have created a range of resources including certificates, stickers, checklists, banners, posters and much more to encourage schools to take part in the week. Schools taking part are encouraged to
share their kind acts via Twinkl's Facebook page in order to share ideas about how kindness can become part of everyday school life in a carefully considered way.
Twinkl’s Chief Customer Understanding Officer Heather McAvan said: “2016 was a time of immense challenge for school communities and although we do all we can to help educators with our teaching materials, we’re always looking for more ways to help anyone involved in the education of children. We intend for The Great Twinkl Kindness Week to be a time for everyone to get involved in kind acts for others as a way to make our world a better place, and to teach children and adults the true value of human kindness.”
