We launched our brand new nationwide food framework at this year's LACA event in Birmingham and stole the show with our yellow YPO bags!
LACA – The Main Event 2016
The YPO food and catering teams attended the annual LACA Main Event Exhibition on 6-8 July 2016 hosted at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham. Suppliers and customers from all areas in the school food service and catering industry attended, which gave YPO a great opportunity to speak with both existing and new customers and also touch base with many of our suppliers.
One of the key objectives whilst at the event was to raise awareness of the newly launched YPO UK Food Deal framework. Our new framework was live as of 1 July 2016, with the official launch taking place at LACA. It was a perfect opportunity to introduce the YPO UK Food Deal to the market and go into more detail about how customers can benefit.
Throughout the exhibition, the teams gained a greater understanding of new products and trends in the market place, customers discussed with us the challenges they are currently facing and conversations were had which could possibly lead to new product ideas and savings on cost.
One of the biggest hits on the YPO stand was the UK Food Deal goody bag. Luminous yellow bags lit up the Monarch Suite and customers were queuing up to get their hands on one!
The prize draw went down very well too, with our lucky winner Yesrib Azam winning a Kindle – congratulations Yesrib!
The hard work and effort from all staff involved in the event paid off, with probably our best exhibition at LACA yet. Preparations for next year’s exhibition have already begun with some exciting ideas being discussed…so watch this space.
