  • How leasing helps councils with COVID-19 recovery
Even before Covid-19, many public sector bodies were struggling with budgetary pressures, the pandemic has made this significantly worse. Triple point discusses how leasing helps councils with COVID-19 recovery.

As this is the first time using a YPO framework I can say the communication was excellent and I was actually very impressed with the call-off contract in the respect it has the flexibility to state an implementation plan, which is great for a customer as this allows me set targets on complex vehicle builds such as this.”

Brighton and Hove City Council

“During the previous procurement exercise, it was difficult to find a framework with a wide selection of suppliers, YPO’s 960 framework captured all of the leading e-RCV manufactures which allowed for everyone to compete. The call-off contracts are the best I have used because it gives you the option to stipulate KPI’s which in turn makes it very easy to manage vehicle builds and it has actually reduced the estimated time of the build.”

Brighton and Hove City Council

“YPO (Ian and Scott) came to Birmingham and met with key stakeholders to understand the vehicle requirements. Following the meeting they not only provided easy to understand specification templates but had also completed these for us as a first draft for our review and sign off. This was very much welcomed by the project team. YPO were also on hand as a critical friend to cast an eye over the liquidated damages provisions we were proposing. The flexibility, positive attitude and efforts of the YPO fleet team, to understand our specific requirements has resulted in 76 new waste and recycling vehicles being ordered. A special mention also for the YPO Further Competition Co-ordinator Sue Hughes for managing the further competition process for us through the YPO eTendering portal. The process was seamless from being to end.”
