This includes the collection of all debt types which a Contracting Authority may have a requirement to collect and other services an Enforcement Agent can typically provide. Examples of the debt types include but are not limited to;

- non-domestic rates/business rates
- road traffic fines
- sundry debt
- housing benefits overpayments
- social care debts
- university accommodation fees

Examples of other services may include but are not limited to repossessions, evictions, tracing services and debt collection advice/consultancy.

Somerset West and Taunton Council had a requirement to award a new Enforcement Agent contract following the creation of the new council and the expiry of the two former council’s contracts. 

With the support of YPO we were able to utilise their DPS to quickly access a wide range of potential providers. The initial advice in respect of the complexities of this service area and the availability of the base specification, and the other supporting information, meant we could quickly draw up our requirements while ensuring they remained aligned to our particular needs.
