Our dedicated buying team work together with our suppliers to ensure that our customers are offered choice, variety and ideas to help create inspirational environments.

Our design team will take your concepts and ideas and transform them into beautiful spaces. Our simple 4 step process keeps things easy and hassle free.

Philip Taylor
Design Service Team Manager

I’ve always had a passion for design and started my career working in the building industry designing holiday homes before joining YPO back in 1993. My role has evolved over the years, starting as a CAD designer then moving on to managing projects in the design team. I’m very privileged to work with a fantastic team of people and I love the process of trying to understand the customer’s needs to create inspirational spaces. It’s still a magical feeling seeing the designs come to life and each project is totally unique with their own challenges. 


Away from work, my passion is photography - mainly landscape and pet portraits. I can also be seen in the Lake District walking the fells in all seasons come rain, shine or snow!

 


Emma Quinn 
Project Manager

YPO Emma QuinnFrom the word go I’ve always been hugely interested in the process of creation. This passion to create has always driven me throughout my life, and led me to pursue a career within the design industry and is why I studied Interior Design at Lincoln University. 

Since joining YPO in 2012 I’ve been able to explore various different mediums of design to create 2D and 3D spaces where the customer can visualise their ideas from paper to real life. I’m particularly keen on the use of 3D Studio Max as this programme allows me to experiment with 3D model building and rendering. This 3D visualisation creates a mental imagery of how a space can appear – this is the most exciting and rewarding part of my job as a designer! Over the years at YPO my role has transitioned from CAD designer to project manager, which has allowed me to participate in all aspects of the design department. 

Aside from work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, socialising, a bit of light exercise and watching Game of Thrones on repeat! Over the last few years I’ve taken on a certain role of rehabilitating birds in need, and take immense pleasure in helping care for these animals and seeing them flourish in their own little lives.


Alexandra Wainwright
Project Manager

Alexandra Wainwright YPO

I always knew I wanted to have a career in design, which is why I chose to study Interior Architecture and Design at Teeside University. I started at YPO in 2001, and 17 years later I’m still inspired by new products and solving design problems for the customer!

My role has evolved over the years from CAD estimator to project manager, where I’ve worked on schemes ranging from laboratory fit-outs to new build installations. My role includes site visits, space planning and quoting, and full project management in both the private and public sector.

Outside of work I like to spend time with my family and friends and often act as a chauffeur to my children!

 


Lauren Robinson
Framework Manager

Lauren Robinson

I have worked in the furniture team at YPO for over 10 years learning the “tools of the trade” in customer services, procurement and contracting. After gaining my CIPS qualification, I put my skills to good use and I have been heavily involved in a number of tenders and mini competitions leading to my current role of framework manager. 

My role is to support customers through the entire process including specifications, completion of documents, evaluation and award. I enjoy helping and advising customers through what can be a complicated and time consuming process in order to achieve the end result they hoped for.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and young daughter and visiting local restaurants!

 

Helen Crowther
Furniture Business Manager

Helen Crowther YPO

I have worked in the furniture department at YPO for over 36 years, starting my career as an admin assistant (when carbon paper and handwritten orders were very much in fashion), before progressing to office manager and working my way up to my current role of business manager. I am responsible for the overall strategic direction of the furniture team which covers loose and fitted furniture, customer services, design, early years and sports. I have extensive knowledge of all things furniture including the supply base and tender process. 

Away from work I spend quality time with my family and my horse Maggie, and enjoy the outdoors and keeping fit.

 

 


Tom Price 
CAD Designer

Tom Price YPO I've always had a keen eye for design and have built a strong background in the field, starting my career working as a graphic designer within print and marketing in 2014. Since then I’ve developed my craft; ensuring that I always understand the customer’s needs from the get go, so I can produce something of a high standard for them. 

Since being at YPO I’ve had the opportunity to explore many avenues of design in the marketing team. My role has recently transitioned and I’m now working within the furniture and design team as a CAD designer. This allows me to work on a range of projects, visualising the client’s space and budgetary requirements whilst also working alongside the project managers.
Outside of work I’m studying a MSc in Project Management, and when I’m not busy with assignments I have interests in film, sport, food and drawing!
