This course explores the four “R’s” of messy maths:
• Routines – embedding key maths concepts into your daily routines.
• Resources – open-ended, low cost materials which can be used in lots of different ways.
• Responsibilities of adults – following children’s lead and articulating learning through a
play-based approach.
• Re-imagining your outdoor space – developing a maths-rich provision.

The course will
Provide practical ways to ensure your maths provision is engaging and interesting.
Help you meet the learning needs of your children.
Focus on sustainability, using the environment, natural materials and what is around us in any outdoor space.
Part of this course will take place outside - come prepared with suitable clothing and footwear...
