Teaching creative problem solving and reasoning skills is vitally important. So, however you choose to teach science and maths, the knowledge you teach is simply not enough on its own. This course will:
Show you a way of teaching science and maths that is particularly effective for stimulating the higher order creative thinking skills – especially problem solving and
reasoning - essential for grasping any subject well.
Give you a hundreds of science and maths activities to take straight back to the classroom that will inspire and really engage your pupils about science and maths.
Show you a range of engaging science and maths activities from across the curriculum, with particular focus on the often more difficult to teach physical sciences, including forces and motion, chemical reactions and properties of materials, as well as a look at number, shape, space and measurement, and handling data.
Show how such activities can be used in a variety of ways, from quick lesson starters or enders, to full length lesson investigations, for events, clubs, and even as engaging homeworks...
