Understanding Transitions from EYFS to KS1

Course Details

Incorporating a mix of theory and personal understanding, this course explores the experience of transitions from a child’s perspective. It will look at both horizontal (daily experience of change) and vertical transitions (milestones towards school and beyond) through the lens of attachment theory and relationships.

Practical ideas for supporting children through transitions will be provided. There will also be opportunities to assess current practice with a view to improving the quality of provision and reducing the negative impacts of change on young children.
