Course Details

Taking on science in a school can be a challenge. Even more so if you are a new science leader or want to bring new ideas to the role.

This course will give you the confidence to bring science to life while finding out how to create a science development plan for the whole school. Step by step, the training will help you assess your school’s current science status, while helping you identify the areas of development and how to make them into strengths.

There will be opportunities to share best practice with other science subject leaders and to explore useful resources, assessment practices and tips for organising science events.

Hester comes from the strong grounding of the primary classroom where she was lucky enough to teach science in every year group. She has a wide variety of experience offering training and support to teachers and children alike in order to enthuse them to experience science in their everyday lives. She has also been involved in the design and delivery of several well-being programmes in schools and behavioural units. She runs her own consultancy business called Education Guru.
