Our Apprenticeships 
 
Your apprenticeship will last 2 years and will include both nationally recognised qualifications and on-the-job training, as well as the opportunity to partake in our newly developed Apprenticeship Pathway – a programme of workshops designed to complement the experience you will gain through working with us. You will be working towards a Level 3 IT Infrastructure Technician qualification.
 
Working in a lively office environment as part of a team, our IT Apprentice provides technical support to the whole business in a range of activities such as supporting the IT helpdesk, taking calls from colleagues and dealing with their technical issues; recording and resolving queries; carrying out installations and repairs; maintaining IT logs; restocking consumables and helping to set up new hardware for staff. The role will also provide a range of administrative support such as reception and post duties.

What We Need from You 
 
In this role you will be working on improvement activities, therefore you should have the ability to think creatively to solve problems, with an aptitude for understanding processes and investigating technical IT issues.
You will be required to work well as part of a team as well as independently and demonstrate a positive attitude. You will be working with teams across the business, so you need excellent communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels. You must have good IT skills and have excellent attention to detail with analytical abilities.
You will ideally have previous experience of working with computer systems and utilising technical skills, but above all the commitment to study and work at the same time.   
You need 4 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade A* to C or 9 to 4, including English Language, Mathematics and IT.     
 
Apprenticeships are available from age 16.  Students awaiting exam results can still apply, please state predicted grades on your application form. 
 
The Important Bits 

As an Apprentice with YPO, you will earn the minimum wage rather than an apprentice wage. This means that you will earn £8778 in your first year if you’re under 18; £12443 if you are 18 to 20; £15820 if you are 21 to 24 or £16823 if you are 25 and over. You will work Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.  
 
Closing date for applications is Sunday 29th November, with interviews taking place week commencing 7th December. Employment will commence Monday 11th January 2021.
