Grade 10 – £33,799 to £36,876 per annum | Permanent | 37 hours per week | Closing Date: 27 May 2019

YPO are looking for an approachable, flexible and organised IT & Business Change Project Manager who likes to work as part of a close team, that actively supports one another and who can work hand in hand with the IT Managers, Business Analysts, 3rd party suppliers and the wider business.


It will take someone who is level headed under pressure and wants to seek out the best solution for the whole of YPO by engaging with all the appropriate stakeholders.  It is vital that you live by the YPO values, we care, we are helpful, we don’t like waste and we are straight talking.


It is essential that the successful candidate has good knowledge and experience of;

  1. Microsoft Business Central systems

  2. Technical IT implementation projects

  3. Managing small and medium sized projects

  4. Turning technical IT language into plain English

  5. Business Change

These will need to be referenced in the written application process.


The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Excel and Project, commercially/customer service aware, able to write highlight reports, business proposals and can lead and facilitate workshops and formal meetings.

Job Purpose


The IT & Business Change Project Manager will take full responsibility for the delivery of a number of system, process and people projects and/or work packages ranging in size, financials and complexity. The work will be assigned by the Programme Manager and/or Senior Project Manager.


Key Duties and Accountabilities

  • Manage a range of projects utilising YPO’s tailored Prince2 Project Management methodology on a range of projects up to 15-20 per annum. Including with budget reporting responsibilities up to £100k per project. Have an active contribution delivering projects with programme budgets up to £2m

  • To design, manage and coordinate, product-based planning days, progress meetings, focus groups and workshops; analysing and triangulating the gathered evidence – turning this into tangible delivery plans, presentations and reports for a wide range of stakeholders including the Board, Partners and customers

  • To manage key working relationships with the internal and external business partners & customers where applicable

  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that the function operates consistently and effectively in the implementation and application of all departmental procedures and policies

  • To keep up to date with information, training and development opportunities appropriate to maintaining and developing professional service standards. This includes technical developments relating to IT, change, creativity and statutory policy

The successful candidate will join an experienced team which includes a Programme Support Officer, an IT & Business Change Project Manager, a Senior Project Manager. This role reports to the Programme Manager.
