An exciting opportunity has arisen at YPO for a Category Manager to join the Utilities Category Team.
The post holder will be responsible for further developing the Category Strategy and ensuring that the end-to-end category management approach results in effective procurement activity to deliver relevant solutions to the public sector.
The role has responsibility for developing and supporting members of staff and will be responsible for developing and managing procurement solutions covering a full range of services specific to the Utilities category.
The Category Manager will also:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality Supply Chain performance for service delivery, procurement cost (savings target), efficiency, overall growth and profitability.
Visit customer and supply markets throughout the UK to advise and develop a range of the procurement solutions implemented and promoted by the Category.
The candidate will have a thorough understanding of the Category area, an excellent understanding of the public sector and an in-depth knowledge of OJEU procurement processes. In addition, the ideal candidate will be an effective communicator and possess the drive to deliver effective and relevant solutions to achieve cost reductions, efficiencies and improvements to the public sector.
