We are looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our Business Services Team.

About the Business Services Team

 

The Team are responsible for a range of services to the business including Reception and post, looking after our Board and Senior Leadership Team and organising our committee meetings with Elected Members. In addition, they mange the YPO Company Car Scheme and Company Mobile Phones, as well as organising travel and accommodation for the wider business. In this team, the range of tasks are varied with involvement in every department of the business and the successful applicant will gain an in-depth knowledge of not only administration, but how a business operates.

 

Our Apprenticeships

 

Your apprenticeship will last 2 years and will include both nationally recognised qualifications and on-the-job training, as well as the opportunity to partake in our newly developed Apprenticeship Pathway – a programme of workshops designed to complement the experience you will gain through working with us. You will be working towards a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification.

 

Working in a lively office environment as part of a team, our Business Administration Apprentices provide support in a range of activities including dealing with customer and supplier queries, arranging meetings and travel, reception duties, data input, and record keeping plus more tasks specific to the department you are placed in.  You will develop a good understand of procurement within the public sector while you learn.

 

What We Need from You

 

In this role you will be expected to undertake general administrative tasks, therefore you must have good IT skills, and be highly organised with excellent attention to detail in order to manage workloads and meet deadlines. You will be required to work well as part of a team and demonstrate a positive attitude. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have a confident and professional manner when dealing with customers and colleagues, both face to face and over the phone.  You will ideally have previous work experience, although this is not essential, but above all the commitment to study and work at the same time.  

You need 4 GCSE’s or equivalent at Grade A* to D or 9 to 4, including English Language and Mathematics.    

 

Apprenticeships are available from age 16.  Students awaiting exam results can still apply, please state predicted grades on your application form.

As an Apprentice with YPO, your pay will be age related in line with the National Minimum and National Living Wages which is currently:

You will work Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
