CPD Courses 

 

At YPO we’ve been offering a range of exciting and informative CPD courses for more than 15 years.

 

Changes to CPD courses

 

In the introduction of this years CPD guide, we indicated that due to a possible change in government, we may need to re-asses some of the content to the effected courses that we are offering at YPO, to make sure that the course remained relevant as ever.

 

With this in mind, we have now reviewed all the courses that we have planned for the remainder of the year and worked hand in hand with each of the course tutors to ensure that the courses that we are offering are still suitable to the current curriculum and have on some occasion had to change the content to the following courses.

 

  • Let’s Investigate the New Curriculum
  • A Creative Approach to Developing Health and Wellbeing
  • Developing a Creative and Integrated approach to History in Light of the Primary Review’s Area of Learning ‘Historical, Geographical and Social Understanding’
  • A Tudor World Picture; Developing Historical Knowledge, Understanding and Skills in Use of Evidence
  • Developing a Creative and Integrated Geography Programme Through the Historical, Geographical and Social Understanding Area of Learning Following the Primary Review
  • Developing Essential Geographical Knowledge and Breadth of Learning in the Revised Geographical Curriculum Following the Primary Review.

Facilities

All courses take place in our purpose-built CPD study centre, equipped to the highest standards and with ample space for teachers to carry out a range of practical activities. An interactive whiteboard is available to our tutors who will incorporate ICT skills into their courses at every opportunity.

 

On all our CPD courses, tea and coffee are provided from 9.30am with chilled spring water available throughout the day. Our caterers provide a superb buffet lunch, including a sweet trolley that no teacher can resist – yet another reason why YPO courses are unforgettable!

Course fees this year are £95 plus VAT and, on completion of the course, participants will be reimbursed the £95 with a voucher that is redeemable against products purchased from any of the 2010 YPO catalogues.
